Agenda Architecture is a full-service architecture and design studio focused on creating projects with purpose.

We have a passion for creativity and have big ambitions when it comes to the trajectory of our work. We sincerely believe in the transformative power of architecture and its ability to elevate experiences, engage and inspire people everywhere. Our firm leverages the many constraints surrounding each project as opportunities for experimentation and exploration, creating space for us to learn and reconsider the impact design can have within the context of our neighborhoods, cities, and the greater environment. We believe this level of rigor should be implemented on any project, whether it be an entire city block or a single family residence. Every project has its own agenda.

Our collective knowledge and experience extends across all scales, from product design to large-scale developments, with a particular interest in how we research, represent and communicate ideas and potential design strategies. The co-founders of Agenda Architecture have previous experience at award-winning offices in New York, London, Austin, New Orleans, and Omaha.

Michael Hargens, AIA

Michael received his Bachelors of Architecture from Kansas State University before moving to New York where he received his post-professional Masters of Architecture from Parsons School of Design. Prior to and during his time at Parsons, he worked for Resolution 4: Architecture followed by Skidmore, Owings, & Merrill where he was a part of their Education Lab. He strived to remain involved in academia, teaching a summer program at Parsons as well as sitting as a guest juror at Columbia, NYIT, and Parsons.

After leaving New York, he spent several years in London where he continued his tenure at SOM followed by nearly three years with Pritzker Prize-winning architect Zaha Hadid. In 2010, he moved to Austin and began co-teaching an advanced graduate studio at UTSA. Prior to co-founding Agenda Architecture, Michael spent nearly eight years with Baldridge Architects.

Michael brings to the office a wide range of work experience, from prefabricated modern houses to the contemporary art museum on Michigan State University’s campus. He periodically teaches as an adjunct faculty member at the UT School of Architecture here in Austin. He is a licensed Architect in the states of Texas and Colorado.

At Agenda Architecture, Michael acts as a project manager and as one of the principal designers. Michael is a gifted and quick designer and is especially skilled at form generation, schematic layout and code manipulation.

Tyler Frost, Associate AIA

Tyler received his Bachelors of Architecture from Louisiana State University in 2009. During his studies, he became particularly interested in digital representation and learned several 3D modeling programs and rendering engines to explore and communicate design ideas. His passion for this creative field ultimately lead to the launch of an architectural visualization company in 2016, which currently works with architects, designers, and developers across the United States. He has co-taught a visual communications studio at the UT School of Architecture on the subject of digital rendering. Prior to joining Baldridge Architects in 2011, he worked for Webber + Studio, Trahan Architects in New Orleans, and for the Louisiana Architecture Bureau as a research and design assistant.

Tyler has nearly a decade of experience in high-end custom homes where client relationships, program layout, and detailing are essential to the success of the project.

At Agenda Architecture, Tyler also acts as a project manager and as one of the principal designers. He is a talented designer with a particular interest in the interweaving of interior and exterior spaces and how one influences the other. He is thorough, organized, meticulous at production, and is the resident technology expert.
